IMEM Foundation Official Lauched


• Foundation donates incubator to Tema General Hospital
• Presents over 200 books to Ghana Institute of Journalism.
A brief but impressive ceremony has been held to officially launch the birth of a new charitable organization – IMEM FOUNDATION.
The event which took place at the Plush Marjorie ‘Y’ hotel in Tema Community Six brought together personnel from the Tema General Hospital, representations from Ghana Institute of Journalism, Corporate Executives, Politicians and section of Media practitioners.
Founded by Dr. Martin Aniagyei, Medical Director of Medland Hospital in Tema and Mrs. Comfort Aniagyei, Managing Director of GhanaMade Company Ltd, the foundation would urgment the charitable work the duo has been undertaken across the country over the years.
In her open address, Mrs. Comfort Aniagyei, Director of IMEM FOUNDATION explained to the gathering that “IMEM is an abbreviation of “IGNORANCE, MONEY, EGO, AND MORALS,” which has been a bane of Africa.
She said the foundation was formed apart from its charitable ambitions to deal with evil deeds in our society especially in the Political and economic lands which have become canker in our world or to address evil deeds which has eaten deep in the fabric of our society.
As a first step in its charitable drive, IMEM FOUNDATION donated an incubator worth millions of cedis to the Tema General Hospital Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit and presented over 200books written by African writers to the Ghana Institute Journalism.
Dr. Adwoa Dzane, Medical Officer at the Tema General Hospital, who received the incubator on behalf of the hospital, expressed gratitude to IMEM Foundation for the gesture.
She said the incubator has come at a time when the hospital is in dire need of such facility to curb the incidence of over crowding babies in each incubator and reduce infant mortality rate at the hospital.
Mr. Abdul Razak Iddrisu, a library assistant at the Ghana Institute of Journalism also received the books on behalf of the institute.
He thanked the couple, Dr. and Mrs. Aniagyei for the kind support given to Ghana Institute of Journalism.
